Zemog El Gallo Bueno to Release 7th Album ¡Ya Tú Sabes! U All Reddy Noe. (Pinch Records, Dec 5, 2025)
NYC’s powerhouse Latin X-Perimental band returns with their long-awaited 7th album.
Led by composer, multi-instrumentalist, and visionary Abraham Gomez-Delgado, ¡Ya Tú Sabes! U All Reddy Noe. reflects a tight-knit Zemog El Gallo Bueno at the height of its powers. Sung in Spanish, English, and Spanglish, the songs dive into themes of immigration, indigenous ancestry, personal transformation, and the radical act of rest.
LISTEN TO ¡Ya Tú Sabes! U All Reddy Noe.
¡Ya Tú Sabes! U All Reddy Noe. follows 2018’s ambitious YoYouMeTú trilogy, a three-part meditation on the eternal dance between the individual and the collective. From that project, Gomez-Delgado drew a crucial lesson: that rhythm is born in the space between musicians. To push this further, he approached the new album with a different process, one he calls “composing backwards”- giving the band only skeletal sketches like a key and a rhythm, and letting the musicians improvise freely. The raw sessions were then cut, collaged, and reshaped into compositions, preserving the fire of first contact.
“It was like composing backwards,” Gomez-Delgado explains. “The raw interactions of the live band and the vocabulary it had developed over time were there from the start.”
That decades-deep family-band chemistry not only fed the improvisations but also sparked fully arranged new compositions, which Gomez-Delgado introduced just weeks before the recording sessions for ¡Ya Tú Sabes! U All Reddy Noe. “The band knows me so well they can interpret what I mean without me saying it. That’s the beauty of playing together for so long—the circle of improvisation leading to composition, and composition leading back to improvisation.”
The album’s first single, “Caso Por Casa” (out Dec 5, 2026 with video), captures that cycle of invention in motion. Moving effortlessly from Salsa to Merensongo to Brazilian Funk grooves, it showcases the ensemble’s joyful interplay. But its theme runs deep: “home.”
“Caso Por Casa”, a clever word play on ‘case by case’, layers personal and political narratives—Gomez-Delgado tracing his father’s roots to Saposoa, Peru and the Chachapoya legacy of the Amazon; the struggles of America’s unhoused; his own migrations from Puerto Rico through the transience of U.S. life; and the urgency of today’s immigration crisis that leaves so many artists and families living in uncertainty.
Other highlights include:
- “Mania” – A fierce meditation on contradiction: how people can show kindness in person while supporting systems and policies that strip others of their humanity.
- “Taíno” – A driving Plena that reclaims indigenous ancestry, confronting generational trauma, cultural appropriation, and the complexities of Puerto Rican pride.
- “Pavera” – A joyful ode to the ridiculous—the healing, transformative force of humor, laughter, and play as survival.
For Gomez-Delgado, the through-line is simple but profound:
“Home, for me, is a room full of people making music. I’m not saying music alone solves everything. But it has always been a kind of spiritual guide—a home. Being with my family and friends, playing music that carries our history—that feels like home.”
¡Ya Tu Sabes! U All Reddy Noe. will be released on December 5, 2025 on Pinch Records, available on Vinyl from the Pinch Records Shop and on all streaming platforms.
